- News
The Graduate School of Environmental Studies(GSES) is pleased to announce that faculty members have been included in a database widely known as the "World's Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists" list — officially titled "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators" — jointly produced by Stanford University and Elsevier and released on October 7, 2026. Six faculty members were ranked in the "single recent year" category, and seven were ranked in the "career-long" category. This ranking is based on standardized citation metrics derived from the Scopus database, and identifies scientists worldwide who rank among the top 100,000 by composite citation score (c-score) or within the top 2% in their respective sub-field, among those classified into 20 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields according to the Science-Metrix classification, and who have published at least five papers.
