Research contents

YKK AP is dedicated to developing products and technologies that enhance the quality of living and workplace environments. This project focuses on the upcycling of construction waste, specifically window-related materials, and industrial byproducts from manufacturing processes into high-performance functional composite materials.
By evaluating raw material suitability and identifying technical challenges, we aim to establish robust synthesis processes and achieve practical social implementation. Furthermore, we are concurrently developing technologies for the separation and decomposition of these new materials. Our goal is to establish a truly sustainable resource circulation model that accounts for the entire lifecycle of the material.
