Research contents
We scientifically explore how to implement lessons and data from past disasters into modern and future social systems to influence decision-making and behavioral change. Our research takes a multifaceted approach, integrating cutting-edge technology with social surveys—ranging from analyzing evacuation behavior to developing digital disaster education tools. We also focus on building mechanisms for "Disaster Tradition" to pass on lessons from the Great East Japan Earthquake and other catastrophes to future generations and other regions. Our goal is to pursue practical disaster prevention and mitigation that goes beyond theory to meet the needs of the real world.
