Research contents

As global environmental problems become more serious, the issues related to resource circulation, which were previously discussed under the term 3R, have recently been rephrased as Circular Economy, and more effective systems are being called for.
In particular, as new products and substances emerge and lifestyles change daily, promoting the circulation of such secondary resources requires technologies to remove unwanted substances from the recycling process and reduce them to below acceptable levels for appropriate disposal, as well as institutions and social systems that make such disposal possible.
However, to date there is not necessarily much scientific knowledge in this field, or examples of institutional design based on that knowledge.
In this course, we are conducting research on new separation and decomposition methods, management technologies, and evaluation technologies for products such as E-waste and LiB, which can become environmental pollutants if not properly treated and recycled after being dispersed due to economic principles, as well as materials such as metals and plastics.
