Program orientation for regular course students in spring 2012 was held. The dean Tohji handed over the certificate for admission to the program to each student who just joined the program this school year.
March 27, 2012
The first four students in the regular course have completed the program in March. They received a Master’s degree in environmental science at the graduation ceremony of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, and also were offered ELMC (Environmental Leader Master Certificate) by the dean. Two of them were awarded as PMSE (Professional Master for Sustainable Environment) which is offered to outstanding students in the program.

New regular course students have joined in October. Catching up from the delay caused by the disaster, we started the second term on a new note. Doctor course students have a combined class with the students for Spring 2011, and master course students have their own class.

The orientation was finally held in spite of some delays caused by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. Unfortunately some international students could not make it on time, but it was the very first event we looked forward to in this school year. The Dean, Professor Tohji, handed a certificate to each student in the orientation. The students made their first step towards becoming Environmental Leaders.
