The Ecollab. is a wooden building opened in June, 2010 as part of the Graduate School of Environmental
Studies. It was built using plenty of local wood (from Field Science Center, Graduate School of Agricultural
Science) which gives it a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Battery system which used to hold 10 kWh has been improved and now can hold 20 kWh. Also, all LED lights in
the hall and DC Room in Ecollab. use only the natural energy that has been stored. Furthermore, various
research results that make use of natural energy were applied in the building's construction.
Tours of Ecollab. are open to all. If you would like to take the tour, please send us an email informing us of your
